Deepdale is the next destination

Leeds travel across the Pennines to Preston this evening off the back of a thumping victory against Doncaster. Simon Grayson has introduced Barry Bannan to his squad for this encounter and is set to make his debut. Grayson has food for thought with Eric Lichaj, Andy O'Brien and Luciano Becchio carrying knocks. This could see the return of Paul Connolly and Alex Bruce, Grayson may hand a start to Billy Paynter who came within inches of scoring at the weekend.

Nobody will forget when these two sides met at Elland Road. It ended 6-4 in favour of Preston that night! Leeds conceded a 4-1 lead. Preston are rock bottom of the Championship but have performed well against promotion chasers of late. They have got points off Norwich, Nottingham Forest and league leaders QPR. United are yet to win a league match at night so far this term with a record of P10 W0 D5 L5. Preston are still searching for their first win under Phil Brown this season. Surely one of these records will end tonight!
